We participated in the 2013 WIBC State Bowling Tournament on Saturday, 4/13/2013 at AMF Bowlero Lanes in Wauwatosa, WI where the Singles and Doubles matches took place. Sunday we headed to South Milwaukee to South Park Lanes where the team event was held.
The Wisconsin State tournament is the largest in the country with over 6,000 bowlers competing. I have bowled in this tournament since 2000. We bowl in a Monday night Ladies Handicap league which consists of 3 bowlers. When we go to state tournament, we have to pick up a 4th bowler for the event.
We travel around the state wherever the tournament takes us and spend the weekend bowling and having fun.
We were very happy to be outfitted by Baldor Power Solutions again this year. I work for a great company with a great boss. We hope to do him proud next year when we head to Wausau for the event for 2014.
We’re giving out High Fives to all our customers, distributors, co-workers and suppliers! You’re all awesome!
This week, we’re very happy to celebrate the homecoming of a member of our Baldor Power Solution’s family. Sam Duncan is the son of David & Cyndy Duncan and he has returned home from Afghanistan. They are currently enjoying time with him at 29 Palms, CA. David Duncan is one of our outside salesmen and has an extensive amount of knowledge in our AC & DC Drives, Motion and PLCs. Many of you may have already worked with David on a project or two.
We celebrate with the Duncans and thank Sam for the sacrifices he makes to protect us all.

Recently in Liberty Island, The Statue of Liberty went through a 30 million dollar renovation. In that renovation a new sophisticated Rescue Elevator was manufactured and installed. This new elevator replaces the obsolete one which had been there for 30 years.
Critical to the design of the elevator was the ability to provide a smooth ride, manage the acceleration and declaration through programmable speed ramps, torque proving, and dynamic breaking. Download the entire article to find out why they choose to use ABB’s patented, leading edge Drives for the job.
Something is Missing…
It’s March 20th, the first official day of Spring. My weather report says, “Partly cloudy with a high of 20F and a low of 12F”
I think we all want to know, WHERE IS SPRING?
Job Creation is an Added Bonus
Ampco Pumps Co plans to add more than 17,500 square feet of manufacturing space and 8,400 square feet of offices to its facility on Mill Road in Glendale. Ampco’s sales growth is due in part to new products, as well as an expansion outside the US. It’s great to see a company growing. It’s expected that they will be able to add 10 -15 new jobs within a year of completing the expansion. We wish Ampco continued success!
